Two Grooms, Two Brides, One Dance Floor: Same-Sex Weddings with DJ City

Every wedding is different, but the best ones share one thing: the couple feels completely seen. Three of the celebrations we DJ'd recently — Ryan and Dean, Brian and Nick, and Nicole and Kayla — are a perfect reminder of that, and of why DJ City loves being part of same-sex and LGBTQ+ weddings across Massachusetts and New England.

Brian & Nick: a party that peaked and never dropped

Brian and Nick took over that same historic venue — Roger Williams Park Casino in Providence — for a huge summer 2026 celebration of around 250 to 300 guests. From the moment the reception opened, their night was built for energy: two grand entrances, a packed room ready to move, and a set that read the crowd and kept building right to the very end.

Nicole & Kayla: a first dance the whole room felt

Nicole and Kayla's first dance was one of those moments where the room goes quiet, everyone leans in, and then the whole place is on its feet. When the timing, the song, and the couple all line up, that's the magic — and it's why the details matter so much.

Ryan & Dean: two grooms, one incredible party

Ryan and Dean celebrated with about 135 guests at the historic Roger Williams Park Casino in Providence in July 2026 — and it was the kind of night that reminds us why we do this. Two grooms, a room full of love, and a dance floor that filled up early and stayed packed to the very last song. From the introductions to the final track, DJ City handled the flow and the MC work so every moment was unmistakably theirs.

What makes a same-sex wedding sing

A great same-sex wedding isn't a standard reception with the pronouns swapped. It's planned around the two of you. That means getting both names and introductions exactly how you want them, shaping the traditional moments to fit you — two grand entrances, a shared entrance, a first dance together — and keeping the floor moving across everything from Afrobeat and Coupe Decale to house, hip-hop, and R&B.

Most of all, it means you never have to explain yourselves or wonder how your DJ will handle it. We've done this, we love doing it, and we're glad to be there.

Celebrating love across Massachusetts and New England

Massachusetts made history as the first state to recognize same-sex marriage, and Greater Boston's LGBTQ+ community is one of the most vibrant in the country. DJ City has been part of these celebrations since 2007, from Boston and Brockton to Cambridge, Braintree, Stoughton, Plymouth, Framingham, and Cape Cod — plus Providence and across Rhode Island and New England.
